Charles Nicholls, Founder, CEO

Paul Thomas, Chief Technology Officer

Paul Thomas has over 20 years of software development experience, formerly Head of Product Development at STP vendor Braid and most recently Vice President Financial Services Products at EAI vendor Mercator, where he was responsible for developing the market leading GSS STP product and for leading product strategy in the application of BPM and Business Activity Monitoring technologies to Financial Services. Prior to Braid he was Head of Application Development at Tetra, now part of the Sage group.

Steve Brown  

Dr Steve Brown, Chief Software Architect

Steve has worked in the software development industry for 15 years, the last 8 in design and architectural roles. Prior to joining SeeWhy, he worked in diverse market sectors including Space flight control, racing car drive optimization,pharmaceutical drug discovery and numerous web based transaction systems. His main interests lie in enterprise design, distributed systems and parallelization. Steve's first degree was a combination of Mathematics and formal systems of methodology, he later obtained a PhD that involved the realization of a framework for the automatic computation of differential equations of arbitrary complexity.  

Phil Wilkins  

Phil Wilkins, Development Project Manager

Phil Wilkins is a software architect and project manager with a wealth of experience in time sensitive applications, with nearly twenty years experience in the software industry. Prior to joining SeeWhy Phil was the technical lead in developing a middleware product for adoption across the back office applications within the UK armed forces. Before this Phil performed technical and team leading roles for EDS and GEC group on a range solutions, from military mobile radar through to Trans-Atlantic ATC and innovative operational displays of real-time synthetic environments, employing a diverse mix of technologies from Ada with X/Motif to Java (SE/EE) and Oracle.

Mike Tinnion  

Mike Tinnion, Senior Software Engineer

Since graduating with a first class degree in Mathematics and Computer Science Mike has clocked up 14 years of software development experience, using Java, C++, C, and Visual Basic on both Windows and Unix platforms. He has held development and technical project management positions in companies offering enterprise level financial, CRM, SFA, EDI and messaging software. Mike is a Microsoft Certified Professional.  

David Mortimer  

David Mortimer, Software Engineer, UI Frameworks and Notification

David Mortimer is an experienced Software Engineer who has worked with many real-time requirements and environments from the travel industry and CRM to betting systems. David created Pharos Datacom's Webster real-time on-line booking system, worked on CSC's 3r Evolution CRM, and developed a fixed odds betting system for Arena Online, which acted as a single entry point to multiple bookmakers on the Sky IDTV platform, with real time information updates. David has a BSc in Computer Science and an MSc in Engineering and Information Sciences from Reading University. He is also a fully certified Computer-Geek.

Eoghan Collins, Quality Assurance Engineer

Eoghan is leading SeeWhy’s charge on both product and implementation QA. He has over 10 years experience in systems analysis and testing and is ISEB certified. His experience has been gained working on a diverse range of projects including finance, government and retail systems. Prior to joining SeeWhy, Eoghan was a team leader on the system testing of a very large retail project.

Paul Donaldson  

Paul Donaldson, Software Engineer, Servers and Persistence

Paul has worked in the IT industry for over 14 years. Paul has a BSc in Mathematics from Strathclyde University and an MSc in Digital Techniques from Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh. He started his IT career in the business accounting sector with Tetra Limited (now part of the Sage group) and has subsequently held positions at Versatile Systems, a provider of IT systems for the mobile workforce, and Mercator Limited. His focus is in the area of software development and design concentrating on Java server-side development.

Helen Essa, Consultant, Technical Services

Helen’s IT career spans over 20 years. During this time, she has fulfilled roles in systems operations, software development and project management across many business sectors including banking, retail, logistics, and consultancy. For the last five years, Helen has specialized in business intelligence and data warehousing. She has a degree in Systems Science and Management and is Prince II and ITIL accredited.

Nigel Martin  

Nigel Martin, Technical Services Manager

Nigel obtained his degree in Computer Science at the University of York. He has more than 20 years experience working for software companies specializing in database and data movement and manipulation technologies. He has worked for the consultancy company Logica, and software vendors Software AG and Sybase. Prior to joining SeeWhy, Nigel worked for Informatica and helped start their European operation.  

Imad Rahman  

Imad Rahman, Consultant, Technical Services

Imad Rahman has been building systems for 9 years in a variety of technologies, specializing in J2EE integration and messaging infrastructures. He was an architect and lead developer at Vodafone for 6 years, working on high volume mission critical billing systems, and infrastructure for a variety of backoffice systems. He has held consultancy roles in Retail and Healthcare IT. Imad has a BSc Hons in Computer Science from the University of Southampton and an MBA from Cranfield School of Management.
