Software Requirements

Apart from the operating system, the third party software required to run a SeeWhy System will be resolved during the installation process. If you do not have any of these components they will be installed as part of the installation process.

Java Virtual Machine

  • Java 1.4.2

Application Server

  • JBoss v4.0.4

Database

  • MySQL v5.0.51
  • Oracle 10g

JDBC Connector

  • MySQL JDBC Connector v5.0.4
  • Oracle 10g Release 2

Email system

  • Email system providing SMTP and POP3 services

Additional Items

Additionally you will need tools of your choice for the following tasks:
  • Database Administration
  • Editing XML files and validating them against XML Schemas
  • Editing text and HTML files
